Browser extension

Extension site modes and permissions

Control which experience runs and recover when a site adapter conflicts with the page.

Applies to the current Unalgorithm experience

Per-site behavior

Each supported site has its own adapter and available modes. A mode changes presentation and navigation for your current purpose; it does not modify the third-party account itself unless you deliberately use that site's controls.

If a mode hides needed content

  1. 1Open the Unalgorithm controls.
  2. 2Switch to a less restrictive mode or disable the mode for the page.
  3. 3Reload once.
  4. 4If the issue persists, disable the extension temporarily for that site.
  5. 5Report the exact URL type, mode, browser, and screenshot.

Keep the extension current

  • Allow browser-store updates.
  • Restart the browser after a major update when controls appear stale.
  • Remove old manually installed builds before installing a store build.
  • Do not run multiple versions simultaneously.
