Privacy at a glance
UnAlgorithm turns a goal you enter into focused searches for supported websites. Your goal is sent securely to the MindsNet API to generate suggested searches and is stored on our server.
You can use UnAlgorithm without connecting a MindsNet account. If you optionally connect Mind Sync, your goals and related progress can be synchronized with your account across devices.

What we collect
- Goal text you submit and the searches generated from it.
- Basic browser, usage, error, and diagnostic information needed to operate and improve the extension.
- Search progress, including searches opened through the extension and associated URLs and timestamps.
- Content you explicitly save or submit to research features, including page text, titles, and URLs.
- When Mind Sync is connected, an opaque device token used to associate synchronization requests with your MindsNet account. The extension does not receive your password.
How we use this information
We use this information only to generate focused searches, provide research features, synchronize goals and saved resources, restore data across devices, maintain security, and improve the reliability and quality of these features.
Supported-site access
- UnAlgorithm runs only on the supported websites listed in its browser permissions.
- It does not collect passwords, cookies, private messages, or payment information from those websites.
- Page content is processed or transmitted only when needed for an extension feature, such as saving research or requesting a research summary.
Stored on your device
Your goals, generated prompts, saved research, progress, and preferences are stored in the browser's local extension storage. Uninstalling the extension or clearing its storage removes this local copy.
Information already sent to or synchronized with the MindsNet server is not automatically deleted when you uninstall the extension.
Linking an account
Mind Sync is optional and off by default. When connected, goals, generated searches, search progress, clicked URLs, and saved resources may be stored in your MindsNet account and synchronized across devices. Recommendations can also draw on your Mind Profile, while the extension receives only the resulting suggestions and not the underlying profile fields.
When you open the UnAlgorithm PWA from a connected extension, the PWA may securely adopt that extension's opaque device token through an origin-checked browser bridge so you do not need to sign in twice. The token is stored in this browser's local storage and is never placed in the page URL.
You can unlink at any time. Unlinking revokes that device's access and stops future synchronization, but does not automatically delete information already stored in your account.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell personal information or use extension data for personalized advertising, creditworthiness, or lending. We only share information with service providers when necessary to operate the extension, or when legally required.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
