What is the Android preview?

An early version of the UnAlgorithm Android app. You can install it now and help shape what comes next. Features and supported app handoffs are still being refined.

Does it change the apps I use?

UnAlgorithm helps you choose how to enter them. It can pause selected app opens with your permission and offer searches related to your goal. It does not replace another app or guarantee what its search results show.

Can I use it on iPhone or in a browser?

This preview is for Android. This website introduces the app and provides its download; the goal and search experience lives in the Android app. An iPhone release is not available here yet.

How do I update an existing installation?

Open the downloaded APK and choose Update. Keep your existing app installed. Compatible app improvements can also arrive over Wi-Fi.

The core idea

Unalgorithm puts a deliberate step between an impulse and an algorithmic site. You state what you want to do, launch an appropriate surface, and keep tools available that help you stop when the task is complete.

Install the Android preview

1Open unalgorithm.mindsnet.org on your Android phone and download the preview APK.
2Open the download and follow Android's installation prompts. For an existing installation, choose Update without uninstalling it.
3Open UnAlgorithm, choose the apps you want to use deliberately, and set a goal.
4Review the optional permissions explained inside the app.

Your first intentional session

1Choose a goal-related search when opening a selected app.
2Use the destination app for what you came to do.
3Save useful links and return to your goal when you need another direction.

Where the experience lives

The website introduces the Android preview and provides download, help, privacy and feedback pages.
Goals, app-opening controls and saved links live in the Android app; the old browser workspace is retired.
Account approval for the Android app happens through S.A.I.
The browser extension is a separate surface; its install and troubleshooting guides remain available.
An iPhone preview is not provided by this download.
